After photographing more than a hundred couples over the past seven years, I’ve found that wedding photography is such a personal experience! That’s why this process begins with a conversation. I want to hear everything—how you met, funny first date stories, and how you two got engaged!
We’ll get to know one another, talk about the details of your day, answer any questions you might have about working with me and figure out if we’re the best fit for each other.
Wedding Advice
I'm here as a resource beyond photography—whether you're looking for engagement session outfit recommendations, timeline advice, or vendor referrals.
Even if you're working with a wedding planner or you're planning a simple wedding, there are likely still a lot of moving pieces left leading up to your big day. I've photographed more than 60 weddings in the past few years and I'm always happy to share everything I've learned along the way!
Engagement Session
I'm a big fan of engagement sessions for a few reasons. Not only do they allow you to get comfortable in front of the camera, they also give you the opportunity to showcase your personalities in a more casual setting that is significant to the two of you.
Engagement sessions can take place anywhere from immediately following a proposal to just a few days before the wedding. I’ve found that there isn’t a “good” or “bad” time to take your photos. I normally plan sessions based on a particular “look” a couple has in mind, spring flowers for example, or based on schedules
Wedding DAy Prep
I'll check-in about two months before the wedding to start chatting about timeline specifics, special details, family formal shot lists, special traditions and anything else we should know about your big day.
While I normally don't send this questionnaire until closer to the wedding, please don't hesitate to let us know if you have questions during the planning process!
It's Wedding time!
It's finally here! The day the two of you say "I Do" and dance the night away surrounded by your family and friends.
I've learned that, in order to tell the story of your wedding day, there will be parts of the day when I'll need to be in control in order to accomplish everything that needs to be done, while staying on schedule. But there will also be moments when you won't even notice that I’m there! Just know I'm so excited to celebrate and capture your wedding day. It's going to be awesome.
Photo delivery
You can expect your photos to be delivered via an online gallery within about six weeks of your wedding. At that time, I'll also send over details about preserving your images through prints and albums.
I truly hope our relationship doesn't end after I deliver your photographs. I want to hear about the adventures of married life. And if you decide to have kids, I'd love to document your growing family!

Engagement Sessions
For most couples, it takes time to warm up to being photographed. In fact, a lot of my couples tell me how awkward they are in front of the camera or how nervous they feel about their session. Having an engagement session helps you become familiar with how I direct you to get poses that look natural and effortless.
Sessions also allow you to showcase your personalities in a more casual setting that is significant to the two of you (and even include pets!) While they’re great for save-the-dates, we’ve taken engagement photos anywhere from 18 months in advance to a few days before the wedding.
Albums
One of the best ways to make your wedding memories last is by ordering an album. These high quality professionally designed albums come in a variety of linen & leather colors. These aren’t the same albums your parents wedding photos came in. They’re modern, lay perfectly flat and look incredible on coffee tables.
All albums must be prepaid before design begins. Albums typically take between 4 to 6 weeks to complete and include three rounds of revision. Albums may be ordered anytime before or after the wedding day.
WE LOVE YOUR WORK AND WE’RE READY TO BOOK! WHAT’S THE NEXT STEP?
Fantastic! To reserve your wedding date, I’ll need a completed contract and a 25% non-refundable deposit. If you don’t have a contract yet, just let me know and I’ll send one over! The second payment is due 120 days prior to your wedding and the final balance is due 30 days prior to your wedding.
HOW MANY PHOTOS ARE TYPICALLY INCLUDED AND CAN WE PRINT THE PHOTOS OURSELVES?
Galleries typically include anywhere between 350 and 600 photos. The exact amount varies from wedding to wedding. Your online gallery will come loaded with fully edited high resolution images you can print anywhere. You’re also welcome to share your wedding photos on Facebook as long as you credit me and link to my website.
WHEN DO YOU CHARGE TRAVEL FEES?
I typically add travel fees to any session or wedding outside a 75 mile radius of Charleston, South Carolina. Fees vary depending on location so ask me for more details.
